Description

Pac-Man (Flash) is a web-based version of the classic arcade game Pac-Man, originally created by Namco in 1980. In the Flash version, the game mechanics and design are preserved but optimized for play on modern web browsers using Adobe Flash, which was a popular technology for browser games before being phased out.The gameplay of Pac-Man (Flash) follows the same mechanics as the original Pac-Man game: Objective: The player controls Pac-Man, a yellow, circular character that moves around a maze, eating dots (also known as pellets). The goal is to eat all the dots on the maze while avoiding being caught by four colored ghosts. There are also power pellets located in the corners of the maze. When eaten, these power pellets temporarily turn the ghosts blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for extra points. Maze Layout: The maze consists of a series of interconnected corridors with small dots scattered throughout. There are also larger power pellets at the four corners of the maze. The maze is set up so that Pac-Man must navigate through the corridors, collecting all the dots while avoiding the ghosts that chase him. Ghosts: Four ghosts pursue Pac-Man through the maze. Each ghost has a different behavior: Blinky (Red Ghost): Chases Pac-Man directly. Pinky (Pink Ghost): Tries to get in front of Pac-Man's movements. Inky (Cyan Ghost): Moves unpredictably based on the positions of Blinky and Pac-Man. Clyde (Orange Ghost): Alternates between chasing Pac-Man and wandering randomly. When Pac-Man is caught by a ghost, the player loses a life. Power Pellets: Eating a power pellet temporarily turns the ghosts blue, making them vulnerable. Pac-Man can eat these ghosts for extra points during this time. Power pellets are a key strategy in Pac-Man as they give the player a chance to clear the maze of ghosts temporarily. Levels and Progression: Pac-Man progresses through multiple levels, with each level becoming slightly more difficult. The speed of the ghosts increases as the game advances, and new maze layouts may appear. After completing a level by eating all the dots, the player moves on to the next level with a higher level of difficulty, and the game continues until all lives are lost. Scoring: Players earn points by eating dots, power pellets, and ghosts. Eating a regular dot gives 10 points. Eating a ghost after consuming a power pellet gives progressively higher points (200, 400, 800, and 1600 points for the first, second, third, and fourth ghosts eaten after consuming a power pellet). Eating fruit (which appears randomly in the maze) also gives bonus points. Lives: The player starts with a set number of lives (usually 3) and loses a life each time Pac-Man is caught by a ghost. The game ends when the player runs out of lives.
